Harlequin American Romance Authors: 4/14/13 - 4/21/13
http://harauthors.blogspot.com/2013_04_14_archive.html
Wednesday, April 17, 2013. April Fool's.just a bit late! All of my books for Harlequin American Romance focus on home and family, which means they always feature babies and/or children. Kids in romance novels? Yes, of course! They can increase conflict or, at the other end of the spectrum, lighten the tension between the hero and heroine. In my stories, I hope they do both somewhere along the line and wind up leaving the reader smiling. In my post today, I'm sharing children of another type with you.

Tuesday, May 07, 2013. Real Life Transforms Art. It's early for Mother's Day celebrations, but the holiday has me thinking of how many heroines I write as mothers. I've studied how that role influences their lives, and how my mom, my mother-in-law, and being a mother myself has changed my writing. I know it has. Being a mom has made me a better person all-around, so I know I'm more sensitive, patient, and understanding. (You should have seen me before kids! So, thanks to my mom for giving me such a great...

NovelTalkBlog: December 2008

Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Abby Gaines: It’s not me, it’s my job. I realized today how much more I enjoy reading – and writing – a novel where the hero’s and/or heroine’s job is big part of the story. Not so big that it overshadows the characters or the romance, but big enough to provide some insight into the character (why did he choose this job, and how does it affect what kind of person he is? This insight came to me partly because I’m reading Tessa Radley’s The Saxon Brides. My neurosurgeon hero is ...

Jacqueline Diamond - About Me
http://www.jackiehyman.com/bio.html
Return to home page. Go to books page. When you read an author's biography, sometimes it appears that everything went smoothly. Well, I'm here to report that it took ten years of rejection slips (that's starting when I graduated from college- I also collected a few earlier) before I sold my first book, and that was just the beginning. [ Photo by Corey Fox}. My first successful novel, the Regency romance Lady in Disguise. Sold in 1982 to Walker and Co. for $2,500. I wrote my first story at age four or five.
