A photo by i noriyuki. 形は土筆（つくし）そのもの、味もにおいもほぼ同じ、でも近縁種だろうと思います。日本のものと比べてはるかに大柄です。 先週の日曜日、テームズを下って（本当は電車に乗って４５分）Leigh on Seaという町に行ってきました。河口が三角州になって湿地帯と土手がなだらかに続いてるところ、一見すると、平和な田園地帯という感じですが、もちろんイギリスに田園はありません。湿地は耕作せずに（塩分が多くてできないか）自然公園になっています。川の対岸は火力発電所らしきものや化学工場の煙突が見えました。さらに南に下ると原子力発電所。ここら辺りの海岸は８００年くらい前の城跡、そして６０年前のコンクリートの塹壕址、どちらもフランスやドイツなどの隣人との仲の良さを示しているとのこと。さて、ここらで、何人亡くなったのやら。 土筆の化け物は卵とじになる予定、こちらではスギナ本体が民間療法に使われているようで、通風にも効くとか何とか、ネット情報がありました。ちょっと心配な発ガン性は書いてなかったから大丈夫かと思います。 Astronomy Picture of the Day.
