In true Smith fashion we will be celebrating all week! On her actual birthday – June 8th – we had lunch with my mom at the Botanical Gardens and played at the Zoo in the afternoon. Although he has had congestive heart failure for about a year (which is treatable) he was doing good, so it was a little unexpected. We did get to see him on Sunday so that was such a blessing to us. Thursday, November 4, 2010. We are done with the homestudy process. It was actually not as big of a deal as we were prepared for. Mostly just a hurry-up and wait process but at least that is behind us now. So, where are we in the process now? We are waiting to start receiving what they call "situations" and then will be presented to birthmoms and potentially match. Michael and I are praying hard for these opportunities. We are not sure a time frame on this but hopefully sooner that later.

Started taking a new paci in the last week. To sit facing out so he can see the world. Mills was 11lbs 6oz and 22 3/4 inches long at his two month appointment. We have a growing little boy. He is smart because he knows about Jesus. My Dad works hard at work and making presents. Dad always tells me to clean my room. It makes Dad happy to go to Lagoon. If he could go on a trip, he would go to Grandma's house. I really love it when my Dad helps me clean. If I could give my Dad anything, it would be car or a toy or a truck or a cookie.

Lisa (Elaine’s daughterinlaw) almost stepped on a rattlesnake but heard the rattle and backed away. Jared, Miriam, and our lil Mr. Friday, January 13, 2012. Meet our Lil Mr. Jack Taungahihifo Marshall. I was beyond relieved. I went to the nursery and just sat and looked at my baby free from the tubes and monitors. Finally he was mine and all was going to be ok. We stayed at the hospital till Sunday and then came home.
