Friday, July 30, 2010. Next Thursday is when my parents come to town for my showers. I'm so excited to see them because I haven't seen them since April and I was just barely showing then. They've seen pictures of my belly but they'll really get to see it and feel her move around when they're here. I can't wait! Tuesday, September 6, 2011. 3 months and counting. Well the counting stops now. I'm updating this thing FINALLY! I hope to keep up better but I said that last time and you see where that got me. Here's hoping again. So, quick recap over the last few months:. May 2011 - Callie turned 8 months old and is still as cute as ever. She got her bottom teeth in and figured out the whole crawling business. It's amazing how fast she can be crawling! And I'm sure we'll have some time at the State Fair coming up too!

Sunday, May 13, 2012. Our Gold Mine Adventure. After watching Gold Rush, on Discovery Channel, we decided to try our hand at mining for gold. Being that our Grandfather, Udo Wartena, was a miner, we felt that we be able to be successful since it was 'in our blood'. Our mine is located in Nevada and the following are some pictures. This is the entrance to the main mine located on our site. It goes back about 50 feet, with a short 6 foot drift about halfway into the mine. Posted by Jason Thelin.
