With a life long admiration for such masters as Rembrandt and Michelangelo, Jason has been paralleling his career in film with his first love, fine art. Jason sculpts in clay and paints oil on canvas. My goal in sculpture is always to show strength and character. I believe that form follows function and wether it be human or animal I see flesh and bone as a moving machine. The strength of a flexed tendon, a group of muscles or the weight of a wrinkle is what inspires me the most.

Inspired by the power of these majestic beasts, Ive tried to capture the unique character possessed in each animal. Anatomy is what inspires me on most, the strength of a tendon, a group of flexed muscles or the gracefulness of a gesture. This series titles The Big Five is limited to run of only 15 per sculpture.
