Testing the LEDs | Final Year Projects Blog

https://jasongollings.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/testing-the-leds

Final Year Projects Blog. On May 16, 2012. Posted in: Final Project. With the LEDs in place and the circuit-board built, I needed to test them out to make sure they were working! I connected the circuit-board to the LED wires and plugged in the emitter wires to the arduino (pins 24-53). I then wrote a simple code that would blink all the LEDs on and off, just to check whether they were all working:. The result was a success! Larr; Building the transistor field. Adding the Ultrasonic Sensors | Final Year Projects Blog

https://jasongollings.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/adding-the-ultrasonic-sensors

Final Year Projects Blog. Adding the Ultrasonic Sensors. On May 16, 2012. Posted in: Final Project. This post outlines the process of adding the two ultrasonic sensors to the shelf sectioj of my project. For this I made a template with the measurements from the HC-SR04 dataheet and marked out the location on the shelf, so that they line up with the LED strips. Larr; Testing the LEDs. LEDs – Soldering and Wiring | Final Year Projects Blog

https://jasongollings.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/leds-soldering-and-wiring

Final Year Projects Blog. LEDs – Soldering and Wiring. On May 16, 2012. Posted in: Final Project. With the LEDs in place, the next step was to get them soldered together. The circuit works with positive legs of each LED joined together, and running off a 5V supply. The ground legs of the LEDs are joined in groups of 4, and these are grounded via a transistor when required. I used cable ties to keep the wires organised, and made sure to label each wire so I could easily distinguish bewtween them later on.

Building the transistor field | Final Year Projects Blog

https://jasongollings.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/building-the-transistor-field

Final Year Projects Blog. Building the transistor field. On May 16, 2012. Posted in: Final Project. I’m using transistors to ground each group of LEDs, so a field of 30 transistors was needed. The transistors being used are 2N4401s. The collector of each transistor is connected to ground, the base to the arduino, and the emitter to the LED group (via a 39 ohm resistor). LEDs – Making the holes | Final Year Projects Blog

https://jasongollings.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/leds-making-the-holes

Final Year Projects Blog. LEDs – Making the holes. On May 16, 2012. Posted in: Final Project. This is the process, with pictures, of how the LEDs were put onto the back board. Firstly I measured out the holes. There will be one LED every 2cm, and there are two lines of 60 LEDs. I then carefully drill holes in the back (through the display board) using a 6.5mm drill bit, being careful not to catch the fabric on the other side, as this would crease the fabric, and sacrifice aesthetics. Adding the Ultrasoni...

Helping People Do it Better - Jason Golod

It Doesn't Just Happen™. Helping People Do it Better. 8220;If you are not doing it better than you did yesterday, then you are waiting for someone to come take it away.”. How true it is. I thought for a second and told her that they wouldn’t do anything like that because it would upset all of their retailers. She paused and said, “I know they are going to do it.”. I asked her how she “knew,” and she replied:. 8220;Because, I am writing the copy for their website.”. This site is the culmination of things ...
