Faith is putting one foot in front of the other. Laquo; Oovoo Showcase. 8230;And So Is Heaven. July 9, 2008 by Michael Kelley. I was reading a discussion on John Piper’s blog about how some theologians are drifting away from the interpretation that hell is a literal place. If you’re interested in the full article you can find it here. The people arguing for this view are certainly smarter than me, and honestly, I’m not comfortable with eternal punishment. Who really is? But He’s not. He’s the God w...

One Camel’s Thoughts. An analytical look at the journey of life. The beginning of my reactions to the new administration? January 30, 2009. First off, I need to make sure some preliminary issues are addressed/cleared up/gotten out of the way. 1 President Obamathat is how he should be called now and for always. [This would be different than people referring to Mr. Bush.]. 2 I can respect the President and the Office of the President while at the same time disagreeing with his policies and worldview. Allow...

One Camel’s Thoughts. An analytical look at the journey of life. October 25, 2008. So, in less than 24 hours, I will be in a tent with three other guys. It’s going to be cold, and we are going to pretend that we are a step above survivalists. I am pretty sure that’s the definition of a good time. There’s a mountain. Stories from the Man-Cation to come. They should be interesting, if nothing else. Hooray for DVR and Fall TV Shows. September 29, 2008. Well, Traci and I finally joined the segment of tech cu...

Oh Taste and See...: March 2009

Friday, March 20, 2009. The First Day of Spring. While Daniel was working in the flower bed this afternoon I thought it would be nice to take Taylor outside and us just enjoy the beautiful weather that we are having. At first she wanted attention from her daddy, but then she just started running around and playing. At one point she was digging in a little hole in the driveway. She sat there for at least 30 minutes digging with her stick. The crazy things kids do. Posted by Carrie Poe. All Night, All Day.

Oh Taste and See...: June 2009

Monday, June 29, 2009. Somehow I missed posting this. While my mom was down visiting and helping out with Katelyn and Taylor after I got home from the hospital, we took a ride on the SAM Shortline. Taylor gives Grandmommy a kiss. Our first stop was in Plains, GA, where Ex-Pres. Jimmy Carter lives. Plains is also known for their peanut cash crop. The Peanut Festival is held here every year in September. We got to sample some homemade peanut butter ice cream. Yum! It was very sweet. Posted by Carrie Poe.

Oh Taste and See...: July 2009
http://ohtaste.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 11, 2009. Several hours later the ER doctor came in and told us that the radiologist could not find anything on the CT scan and that she was free to go home. My first reaction was "Praise the Lord, she is healed! My second thought was why did one doctor see something and another doctor see nothing? I had to believe that it was a miracle. We knew that so many people were praying - even people who don't know us. Posted by Carrie Poe. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
