About Jason and his little red book. I made this chocolate cake with my children, they absolutely loved it. 70 grams butter (soft). Pinch bicarbonate of soda. 60 grams dark chocolate melted. 50 grams cocoa powder. This is what you do. Warm the oven 170 degrees C. Grease and flour a cake tin 22-24cm with loose botttom. Whisk the butter and sugar until fluffy and white. Add the eggs one at a time. Add the sieved flour, cocoa and bicarbonate of soda. Finally whisk in the milk and the melted chocolate.

When I started working for real, I mean after restaurant school and a number of years slogging my guts out every friday and saturday as a teenager washing dishes, I got my first red book. This is the first recipe from that book which i still use today! Basic salad dressing if your eating salad you have to have a dressing. 1 part olive oil, 1 part vegetable oil, 1 part walnut oil.
