Cooking is a very intuitive practice and I have always felt at home in the kitchen. My recipes are of the whole food variety, simple, often with a bit of tang, salt, and grit, nuttiness, and umami. I make what I love, and that represents a whole host of cuisine, but I always use in season produce and plenty of it. Sep 24, 2014. Sep 24, 2014. Sep 24, 2014. Sep 24, 2014. Sep 24, 2014. The Pink Totebag: SUMMER LOVIN'...
http://thepinktotebag.blogspot.com/2009/06/summer-lovin.html
Thursday, June 4, 2009. Once again, I find myself apologizing to the blog world for being so absentee! I have no idea how some of my other blog friends do it with two (or more) kids, but I simply can't seem to get my act together enough to write on a daily (or even weekly) basis lately! I have friends whose kids didn't do that for a year or more.but I digress), and I am beginning to regain a bit of my sanity. The harbor down the street from our house. My mom and me (around age 1) on the beach. With one o...

The Pink Totebag: A DAY OUT WITH MOMMY...
http://thepinktotebag.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-out-with-mommy.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. A DAY OUT WITH MOMMY. A dance school near our house was holding an open house in honor of National Dance Week. The week's official spokesperson was Angelina Ballerina. Caroline looks at the day's program. Later, we watched Angelina demonstrate some dance steps. Our cousins Morgan and Camryn came along, too. Here are Morgan and Caroline with Angelina. The interactive story time was a favorite activity. Here, the girls are getting a chance to try out some of the steps for themselves.

Saturday, April 4, 2009. On Thursday evening, I headed to a "Girls' Night Out" shopping event, where my business partner and best friend Christy and I had a table to sell stationery made by our company, Penny-Bear Printing. I got a chance to do a little shopping myself, and ended up at a booth run by a really cute company called Blossom Bug. Posted by The Pink Totebag. Saturday, April 04, 2009. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. BACK TO THE GRIND. I can't believe that we are are now into our second year of school! While I don't think any of us are particularly happy about having to get ourselves up and out so early in the morning (I am already counting the minutes until next Summer), there's something that's just simply adorable about seeing how excited Caroline was for her first day as a Three-Day Three. The Pink Totebag: November 2008
http://thepinktotebag.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2008. Things have finally calmed around here and I'm getting on my computer for the first time in several days. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was relaxing, enjoyable, and filled with good food, family, and friends! For the first time ever, Steve and I brined, rubbed, and cooked the main turkey. I used a basic brining recipe of sugar, salt, and water, as well as. The Barefoot Contessa's turkey breast rub. Now on to the next phase of the holiday season. :). Posted by The Pink Totebag.
