Are we there yet?: September 2008
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Are we there yet? Tuesday, September 30, 2008. After a week of bedrest, I went in for my ultrasound yesterday. And all is well. There was a strong fetal heartbeat. Dr. Hotstuff said that there is still some blood at the site of the placenta so I should expect some spotting/light bleeding for another week or two, but not to worry about it. Great big sigh of relief! After my exam Dr. Hotstuff asked me if I had made an appointment with my regular OB yet? Wednesday, September 24, 2008. I ask "There what is?

Are we there yet?: August 2009
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Are we there yet? Monday, August 17, 2009. I'm not sure how I started to breath again, but somehow I managed to get myself outside where I had a good cry. All I could think about was that my baby had a hole in her heart! And it was somehow my fault! I was totally and completely irrational. Anyway, my baby was released from NICU the following day. I still couldn't believe they were letting us take that tiny little baby home with us. How were we going to care for her? Monday, August 10, 2009. Well, that ni...

Are we there yet? Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Monday, June 23, 2008. Why don't you adopt? Yesterday I was at my nephew's birthday party, he turned 12, when my Mom asked me out of the blue: "Joonie why don't you adopt a kid? Wednesday, June 18, 2008. You ladies have all been so wonderful and supporting and I know I'm lucky to have you, even if I don't feel particularly lucky right now. Sunday, June 15, 2008. I am not the one. I could see it's heartbeat! What's there to be sorry about? Less than one percent!

Are we there yet?: I Failed Again!
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-failed-again.html
Are we there yet? Tuesday, March 3, 2009. It's official. I have Gestational Diabetes. I failed my 3 hours glucose tolerance test. I'm trying not to be overly distraught about it, but I'm not sure I'm doing such a good job of that. Factor is there as strong as ever. You know, I try to eat right, I take walks and I have only put on 17 lbs for this pregnancy (I'm in week 29). So I really didn't expect to be diagnosed with GD. But here I am. Yet another label I'm in denial about. March 3, 2009 at 12:09 PM.

Are we there yet?: December 2008
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Are we there yet? Monday, December 22, 2008. Last night, while I was driving I felt my baby move for the first time! The experience brought tears to my eyes. It was like nothing I have known before. It's a pulsating feeling inside your lower belly and it is wonderful! I think after I get the results of that scan I can either breath a sigh of relief or prepare myself for what it means to care for a baby with potential birth defects. Gets answered frequently. Oh what a blessing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Are we there yet?: I'm Still Here!
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2009/08/im-still-here.html
Are we there yet? Friday, August 7, 2009. I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted. For sure, I have lost most of my readership by now. But for those of you who haven't given up on me. I'm alive and so is my baby girl. She is 3.5 months now. She was born early at 35 weeks. I will do another post on the birth story. I will write more and bring you up to speed as to what's been going on with me later. I just wanted to let you know that I'm back and I intend to stay. August 7, 2009 at 6:52 PM.

Are we there yet?: I'm back
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2009/02/im-back.html
Are we there yet? Tuesday, February 17, 2009. I have been away from blogging for almost a month! Series of events have kept me from writing. I had to travel for work and found out how uncomfortable it is to fly to the opposite coast in a crowded airplane while pregnant. Luckily, I had an aisle seat and could make my mandatory bathroom trip about every 30 minutes, but it was very tiring. Also, even though the time difference was only 3 hours, it seemed to make me very tired. Isn't it about time? I was bor...

Are we there yet?: May 2008
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Are we there yet? Friday, May 30, 2008. I don't know what's worse, getting a BFN or a really low Beta. My Beta is 16. So technically I'm pregnant since anything above 5 is considered pregnant. But most likely not for long. I am a little too numb right now to feel one way or another about it. I was expecting a yes or no answer and I got a most probably no. I hate this! Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Two days till Beta. Well, that pretty much sums up my life! Friday, May 23, 2008. Dream a little dream. So I real...

Are we there yet?: I Failed My Test!
http://arewethereyet-joonie.blogspot.com/2009/02/i-failed-my-test.html
Are we there yet? Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I Failed My Test! I failed my glucose screening test. I took the test a couple of weeks ago and didn't hear back from my OB's office, so I thought that I had passed, cause they usually only call you if it's bad news. Today, I got a call from their office saying that I have failed the test and need to come in for the 3 hours glucose tolerance test. To be honest, the low GI diet was a blessing. I only put on 2kg during my last 3 months and now with a 7 week...
