Monday, November 30, 2009. It was dumb to trade the afore mentioned cape for painting clothes. I ended up needing it. While taping off Ben's 12 ft ceiling I fell from an 8 ft ladder. I ended up in the hospital (a lot of help I ended up being) I cracked two vertebrae and bruised a lung. I'm still recovering but doing quite well. It hurts to laugh, cough, and sneeze. In mid November Sinterklaas arrives on his barge from Spain bringing his Black Piet along with a whole bunch of presents and peppernoten! Waiting for Sint and Piet to arrive on his boat. This year we went to a neighboring village, Son en Breugel, to see Sint arrive on his barge. It was really cool to see him come in that way but we think we liked the small scale, easy access to Sint last year better in our village. It has been so fun for u...

This is the town of Trapini. We didn't spend any time there but had to drive through to get to the Medieval, hill top village of Erice. This was our Fiat!
