Thursday, October 27, 2016. The back deck has been framed for a year while I decide what surface I want to put on it. The easiest would be 2 x 6 redwood planks. High maintenance and no protection from moisture for the foundation. Another option was Trex. Low maintenance, but also no moisture protection. Sunday, September 15, 2013. There are some amazing sites within 45 miles of the cabin. Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, and this little-known canyon (Kolob). This site is within 15 miles (as the crow flies) of the cabin. Simply amazing. California Condors patrol this area frequently because it is remote and full of sheep. Saturday, May 5, 2012. Out of Hibernation - 2012. My cabin has awakened from it's long winter hibernation. Apparently an eagle or large hawk tried to make a nest on my ridge log under cover of my roof. Round logs make a poor nest foundation, as the pile of sticks on the ground indicates. THREE IS NOT A CROWD. Sunday, December 14, 2014. The girls are in a group with three other little girls. Two of the other girls are their best friends. The third little girl is not in our ward but I am sure that as time goes by she will also be one of their best buddies. Go Team.Ready break. Lauryn started things off quite nicely. This little girl had to practice a ton to be ready. She worked her little heart out to learn her piece. I was very proud of her. She played Away in a Manger. They raced go carts.

THREE IS NOT A CROWD. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. For the last three summers we have had a girl's only trip in Saint George, Utah. This year we met Aunt Bethany, Ava and Grammy. Each year we go to Tuachaan and watch a play. This year we couldn't choose so we decided to go to two plays. The first play we saw was Beauty and the Beast. The girls were little troopers. They were soaking wet and didn't complain at all. It was just another adventure. With some of the cast from When you Wish. The girls with Grammy.

THREE IS NOT A CROWD. Sunday, May 3, 2015. At one point I was taking pictures of Lauryn and I turned around to find Clara climbing a tree with her violin. Her violin is not super fancy but is worth about 600 dollars. After my heart settled down I snapped some pics. This completely captures Clara. She doesn't want to miss out on anything so just climbs the tree while she plays her violin. And then you capture a beauty like this and you realize that purchasing a good camera was probably a really good choice.

They are coming up with a plan to catch more next summer. It has something to do with wearing a skirt with hot dogs tied to it and then swimming in the lake.
