Life with the Smiths. Tuesday, March 17, 2009. SPING BREAK, thus far. Has been an adventure. After returning home from a Californian wedding, we wanted a "stay-cation" this week. Phoenix has lots to offer in that department. So far we. Went to Gavin and Karly's reception. Had a BBQ at Grammy and Pappy's, poolside. Had rootbeer floats with Grandma and Grandpa. After a lot of kids getting hit on the head by falling weights, I finally tried using clamps and our tents are a lot safer and sturdier. Sunday, September 27, 2009. A little while back I made these granola bars. The recipe makes enough to fill a 9X13 pan, and ours were gone within a couple of days. Everyone in the family liked them. This combo works out great to get some projects done that have been on my list for a while. I bought this set of chairs from a garage sale months ago. They match my entertainment center and end tables. Taking off the seats was the easy part. Then I scrubbed, sanded, dusted, primed, and sprayed two coats of paint on them.
