Thursday, December 5, 2013. Winter has finally arrived in the NW and I've caught the knitting bug again. I successfully created my first hat! Pom pom and all. Thanks to a guru of a knitting friend and few lessons from her, I'm well on my way to making all the Christmas gifts I can in the next three weeks. The Goodnight, Day. Pattern book has been my go-to and I'm super excited with how this toque turned out. I've never been able to find a hat that fits my abundance of thick hair, but this is it!

Tuesday, September 23, 2014. With a lot of influence from one of my new favorite textile designers, Maryanne Moodie. I love the idea of choosing a color palette with some significance behind it. One of my absolute favorite photographs pretty much ever was actually taken by my uncle. During a thunderstorm in Texas this past spring. Sunday, August 11, 2013. In less than three weeks, the trip that my girlfriends and I have been planning for almost a year will finally commence. I'm unbearably excited and also anxious that I'll forget something, but regardless of my pre-first-time-travelling-internationally-jitters, I'll be so happy to chill by the ocean for 6 days with eight of my best friends. Growing up in Texas, (and never visiting Mexico! I want to soak up the sun! I want a summertime beach! 1 Kate Spade Saturday sandals.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. A couple of weeks ago we headed out to Lost Lake for some much needed camping. It was actually the first time we'd been camping together since moving to Portland! It was a little chilly and rained a bit but we went on a Wednesday, so there was nobody else there. The water was definitely too cold to get in but Charlie had a great time playing fetch.
