Thursday, March 22, 2018. September 27th 2017 - Leper (Ypres). There were quite a few sweet shop with sweets that were good to look at but not enticing to buy. I loved the modern sculpture. A picture of what the Cathedral looked when it was destroyed in WW1. And then it was back to the hotel for the final meal of our 2017 autumn break. Tomorrow Cherbourg and then home. September 26th 2017 - Schipol anmd final purchases in Gouda. September 25th 2017 - Kinderdijk and Reeuwijkse. September 24th 2017 - Delft.

The one above was somebody returning from Berlin, I think. This is the Church of St. Laurentius. Thursday, July 2, 2015. A visit to the lake at St. Leon Rot and a visit to Bruchsal. The whole area is very well equipped with changing facilities, showers, volley ball court, table tennis, barbecues, a cafe/restaurant and lots of camping/mobile home space. What we noticed was that the seats not occupied in the shade were under cherry trees and would wreak havoc on a pair of whit shorts! So we just walked round the lake, stopping briefly for a cup of coffee. Even the ducks love it! I liked the door!

Friday, July 3, 2015. Neustadt An Der Weinstrasse. Despite the heatwave we went to Neustadt as we hadn't had enough time there on the previous occasion. It's reasonably ok in the car but the wave of heat that greets us when we arrive chases us in search of shade. However, that's not always possible. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. As we were on our way to buy the tickets to visit the Basilica there was a street artist doing a puppet act. I was captivated by it and had to follow the whole story about a young girl, a flower and the monster death. Very few people paid much attention but I really enjoyed it. Opposite the Cathedral was an open courtyard where men seemed to congregate to chat. The view from San Gimignano over the Tuscan landscape. Monday, November 4, 2013.
