Monday, October 31, 2005. On Critical Consciousness, Being Critical, Critiquing.and Community. I'm not just being idealistic, I think I'm being more fair to people who suffer the worst of oppression. What good is analyzing history gonna do for people who have to rebuild their house right there after the hurricane? What good is to go over and over about U.S. imperialism when my students - and all Korean students- are gonna still have to know English to get into college? He starts off with some definitions:.

Saturday, September 24, 2005. Wellsort of. I'm back in the UK now, but I jotted down a few things while I was in Paris last weekend. To start, I have to say that Paris is a much more impressive city than London. I guess for a lot of people this is old news, but it's my first time in Europe so I'm still doing that compare/contrast thing. At first I have to say it pissed me off. Who wants to be American in at a time like this? Posted by Radio Ríos @ 5:12 AM. Monday, September 19, 2005. I HATE KOREAN BLOGGER.

Saturday, August 27, 2005. La Fería del Maíz. What is the benefit that we will recieve from your being here? This question terrified me, as it is what I am unsure about myself! I don t know what I have to offer, other than an open mind, a willingness to work and learn, and a desire to go home with an increased understanding and ability to tell people why Fair Trade and cooperatives do or do not make that much difference. Eek! I can hardly believe it, hardly hold in my excitement! Friday, August 26, 2005.

CREam : cash rules everything around me. I expected taipei to be less like china, but it certainly reminds me of china- on the surface at least. it kinda reminds me of guanzhou for some reason, i can't place it- but its a bit cleaner than guangzhou (not saying much) and is overrun by people on scooters. The other days were spent at a large stree...

Thursday, July 14, 2005. Learning how to fly. I shared a passage (a rather long one) with Jackie recently. I wasn't going to post it up.but I think it might be fun to share. It is an excerpt from the actual guide (or at least the actual guide from the book) and it is in the third book of the series, Life, the Universe, and Everything. It goes like this:. The Hitchhikers Guide has this to say on the subject of flying. Have recently occurred, I figure why not? Lets hope things go well. I love this game.
