Samantha’s kindergarten teacher gave her this sweet book with magic confetti to help her sleep before her first day of school. It was awesome! And it worked, because they were all (mostly) happy and ready for school. Charlotte was soooooo mad about the weight of her backpack she was not going to smile. Tyler started 4th grade with Mrs. Pettit. He finally got a smart phone! End of Summer Fun.

Daniel and Kelli McDowell Family. Established April 2, 2004. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. It was an absolutely marvelous day! The spirit was strong and we were so proud of her decision to be baptized. Her testimony grows stronger every day. I love on fast Sunday when she studiously writes her testimony out so she can read it to everyone. I love this girl! After we had almost everyone over for Donuts. I think Tyler had fun playing with her friends and cousins. And she was able to open a few more sweet gifts.

Daniel and Kelli McDowell Family. Established April 2, 2004. Thursday, April 24, 2014. Was wonderful we started with an Easter Egg Hunt, then headed to church for a beautiful Sunday service. Then were able to spend time with family, eating yummy food and finding more Easter eggs and candy! This Easter really was marvelous. It was wonderful to remember that because of my Savior our family is forever. I’m grateful for my Savior and my family. On her actual birthday we had muffins for breakfast, her favorite.

R2 (Russell Garth Mikesell) sent R1 (Russell Scott Mikesell) his Flat Stanley (in a colorfully decorated envelope) to have an AZ adventure, and then be returned to Smithfield to report to his elementary school class. Summer ended perfectly with the first of the monsoon storms – after jumping in the rain we thought we’d go for a walk, ended up with rain being blown in our faces so hard the girls insisted it must be hailing, so we ran home. The girls enjoyed some face time with Papa. We did some chalk art. Enjoyed a ward pioneer day party and some three-legged races. And a visit from some friendly firemen.

It was an amazing evening! Getting ready to jump off the roof. Then the daddy’s thought they should play who can jump the farthest – like a long jump in track. It wasn’t pretty. Then we played some Charlie-Ball. We had so much fun with all these cute kiddos. Sam didn’t really care for how loud they were.
