Dave and Abby: Paige's Heart Surgery

The Thuets of Whidbey Island. Friday, February 24, 2012. Well, it's done. Two and a half years after discovering a heart murmur, Paige's Atrial Septal defect is repaired. Everything went beautifully. The surgery began at 7:30 am and took only 2 hours. By 10am the following morning, Paige was discharged from the hospital and we took her home. The most difficult parts of the entire experience were going under and coming out of sedation, as well as our over-night stay. She was in a more calm environment.

Our crazy and exciting life. Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Kaelen opened all of his presents himself. It was so cute. He was unsure what to do at first but then after we told him he was happy to open his presents without help. He got from Grandpa and Grandma Heileson Spiderman running shoes that light up when he walks. He didn't want to wear them at first and now that is all he wants to wear. Time has flown so quickly and Kaelen is growing up so fast. He is a very happy energetic little boy. Links to this post.
