Blink Into Focus: August 2008
http://jleephoto.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
A Web Log of Photojournalist, James J. Lee of his Journeys to Iraq and Beyond. Friday, August 22, 2008. It's been a busy but fulfilling month. Amazing how much faster the time goes by when you have projects you're working on. I did manage to make a trip to S.C. to work on some video for my mother's C21 McAlpine. Real estate firm. But it was all work and little play this trip with the exception of getting a chance to frolic in the pool with Muddy, my nieces, and nephews. C21 Conway Profile Video.

A Web Log of Photojournalist, James J. Lee of his Journeys to Iraq and Beyond. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. It's been too long since updating and too much to tell in this short post before I head to S.C. for some projects I'm working on. Instead of photos, this time I'm including a video that should give you all an idea of how our summer is going. Hope you enjoy and hope to talk to you all again soon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Web Log of Photojournalist, James J. Lee of his Journeys to Iraq and Beyond. Monday, May 19, 2008. Standing in a smoke garden in Singapore’s airport in Feb., trying to suck down one last nicotine stick before my 19hr. flight home, I met Jim Booth, of PRISM International (Professional Records and Information Services Management). Jim said he needed a photographer in May and wondered if I’d be interested in going to Alaska. I thought about it for about a nanosecond before jumping at the chance! Seemingly...

Yup.: Party, Party, Party!
http://theslapniks.blogspot.com/2008/12/party-party-party.html
Party, Party, Party! Sunday, December 14, 2008. Katie is one lucky girl - with three birthday parties this year. As posted earlier, we visited Kentucky just before her birthday and celebrated with my side of the family. On Nov. 22, we had an intimate party at home with Grandma and Pop pop and our crew. We, of course, had cake (again). Katie is an expert at blowing out candles! And eating cake too. We, of course, opened presents. Our lucky girl received lots of pretty things. Thank heaven for little GIRLS!

On the road again. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. We hit the road again this weekend (the fourth in a row for me), this time to see Grandma Joey and the Abbotts in Kentucky. The timing was perfect to celebrate Katie's birthday with my family, who don't get to visit us as much because of the distance. The weather was cold and rainy, but perfect for some comfort food and a little cake - and don't forget presents! We started off by letting Katie open her present from us - a box full of dress-up clothes to share.

Thursday, August 28, 2008. We knew him well. Yesterday morning Jacob learned a tough life lesson. Our poor little Sunny passed away overnight and we unfortunately found him in the filter. It was not a discussion I was prepared to have at 7:00 am, but nonetheless, Sunny is in heaven now. After a quick trip to the pet store, Jacob seems to be dealing with his grief well. And we welcomed two new fish to the tank this afternoon. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. For reals. I can't believe it. If just for a moment.
Yup.: All the little Slapniks
http://theslapniks.blogspot.com/2008/11/all-little-slapniks.html
All the little Slapniks. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. For our usually quiet Tuesday, we decided to venture to Grandma and Pop pop's for a playdate with Jessica, who is staying with them for a few days. It was so cold, we decided to just stay in, but that doesn't mean we were nice or quiet. Apparently the most fun to be had is tackling me! But at least, I got a good hug out of it. We also tried to get a cute shot of all three. This is the best we got. Don't look so excited, kids. Seriously! By Blog and Web.
Yup.: Hard at work!
http://theslapniks.blogspot.com/2008/12/hard-at-work.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. So, tax season gets its official start 1 month from today - scary, but exciting. I've been hard at work making our new Myrtle Beach office a home (since I'll practically be living there soon! First, I recycled our old couch (for the second time now) into a more patriotic, comfy couch for the office. Then, the week before Thanksgiving, since I can't hang anything from the ugly cement wall, I painted my heart out adding a mural. Not perfect, but definitely good 'nuff!
Yup.: October 2008
http://theslapniks.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. Tonight we had, by far, our most successful trick-or-treat ever! Jacob and Katie were both very attentive to tradition - "Trick or Treats" and "Thank yous," and neither got lost in the crowds of kids in our new neighborhood. I even took the opportunity to do a little subliminal advertising. Hope your bags were full of treats too! Tuesday, October 28, 2008. I know you all have waited for a long time for this not-so-little one, congrats again. We can't wait to meet him! We excited...

Photos, thoughts, ramblings, musings, and rants of a missionary in Thailand. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Bold as a Lion. June 29, 2016. When I moved into a tent on a rock quarry in Mexico at 22 in order to serve the poor, people thought I was going through a phase. I had no idea what I was going through, only that I was searching for something different. This month I celebrated my 37th birthday, the 11th spent in Thailand, which puts me living in this country longer than I’v...
