Tuesday, March 31, 2015. This is the only year in Awana that Keenan and Moriah will both be in Sparks at the same time. They were super excited to compete in the annual Awana Games against five other church's teams on Saturday! The gym was super awesome! It had a running track, pool and raquetball courts). It must be a church/school. Our team coming in. Very serious while he waits. I love Riah's kneepads! All ready to start, facing off with two other teams. Ready for the first game, the Sparky Crawl.

Our Daily Post from the Emerald Coast: Early August Randoms
http://pjknews.blogspot.com/2015/08/early-august-randoms.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. In an effort to get caught up on blogging before school starts (tomorrow! I'm going to do a random, scramble post with pictures from whatever we've had going on lately. Moriah and I discovered a fun, new craft that you can do using party streamers! You tear a piece off the roll (a few inches long), roll it into a ball, and then glue them to a simple drawing you've made on cardboard. Their whole sweet family. I did my first large family photo shoot! But it turned out pretty great!

Saturday, August 30, 2014. Philip and I will celebrate our ten year anniversary next month. We thought the occasion called for a special trip (especially since we haven't spent more than two days away together since having kids). After much deliberation, we decided to go to the Azores, a small collection of islands out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, nearly 1,000 miles off the coast of Portugal. Why? Rebekah posted an aerial video she found of their town today. Look how gorgeous it is! I was thrille...

I thought, "I'm not in Canada, but by golly, we've got snow and I've got a jug of Canadian Maple Syrup, Let's Do This! Aren't my mittens (one of three adorable pairs) from Rebekah, perfect for this shot? YUM I thought I might lose a tooth it was soo sticky, though! We may do this Every time it snows! Thursday, April 30, 2015. Day Ten, Home! We got an early start this morning, leaving our hotel shortly after 4 am! Our first flight was at 6:39 and we landed in Wichita at 10am! As soon as we got out of the van to take our stuff into the airport, Caleb puked. On Mickey. =0/ Thankfully he didn't puke anymore the rest of the day, though! Sleepy girl on the way to Atlanta. Since coming home from a great vacation can be kind of a bummer, Philip and I had planned a welcome home surprise for the kids:. 4) (Thi...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Since getting home, we haven't ventured out too much. we've just spent our time settling back in and relaxing and enjoying being in our own space again. We had a Great vacation, but was it ever tiring! The other day I let the kids get in the jetted tub to cool off and play. After turning the jets off, I dumped in a ton of water beads. These things are so cool, they were given to us after VBS! They ended up playing in here for close to an hour! Wednesday, July 29, 2015. We surpris...

Thursday, January 29, 2015. Giant Smash Up Catch Up. This post covers a lot of stuff, not related to each other, but in favor of getting caught up, I decided to make a "casserole" of it all and just put it in one post. =). When the weather was nice last weekend, we went to the zoo as a family:. It was super cool, seeing this 8 ton elephant put it's foot up for it to be trimmed and cleaned! My sweet fam at the park. Super cute red panda! One tiger licking the other =). It was super busy! We had our friend...

Monday, August 31, 2015. On Saturday, Melissa and I drove to El Dorado Lake for our first Tiara Triathlon! It was a women's only event and was super fun! One of the best parts about it was that it was small in numbers. The tri I did in 2012 had 1,250 people, and this one only had 130! It made everything a lot less stressful and also a lot better for spectators (my whole family came this time which was really fun! Melissa and I just before it started (trying not to look too cold). One of our favorite poses.

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Growing a Bonsai Tree! Aunt Patti gave us a kit similar to these:. It includes two cardboard "tree" pieces that you bend in random directions, fit together and put into a plastic base. You then pour a little packet of "crystal water" into the base and wait. It soaks it all up and then starts growing crystals on the branches. quite quickly! How cool is this? Every time we looked, there was more! The finished tree. so pretty! Here he's in the picture, but not happy about it.
