JUST DON'T HESITATE TO EXAGGERATE COLOR AND LIGHT. DON'T WORRY ABOUT TELLING LIES. THE MOST TIRESOME PICTURES ARE THE STUPIDLY TRUTHFUL ONES - Wm Merritt Chase. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. The idea is to suggest an edge without painting a hard line. Birds are the perfect subject matter for this exercise. 309 - Spotted Towhee.

It fought me all the way - so I left the edges harder than I wanted and spent way. 310 - Great Blue Heron. 7" x 5" oil on panel, unframed. New Wor...

This will be one of the 25 originals I'll be exhibiting at the Waterfowl Festival. In Easton, Maryland - November 14-16.
