Tuesday, May 21, 2013. My dad's mom passed away last week at the age of 96. She was ready to go, but we'll miss her greatly. It was a blessing to grow up down the road from her and spend so much time at her house. She wasn't the type of grandparent to spoil her grandkids with material gifts, but she showed her love in countless acts of service. Family at the memorial service yesterday. Visit with Aunt Joan and cousin Andrew, April 2013. Visit at the nursing home. With Otto, Easter 2011. Going on a Walk.

Thursday, March 7, 2013. I have the greatest friends! Heidi and Kaycee threw us a perfect shower. They had yummy food, including homemade red velvet cake pops, big pom pom decorations and a big sign hung over the fireplace. They also made us an adorable diaper cake with a big stuffed giraffe on the top! The shower started at noon and we didn't leave until 7pm!
