Verisimilitude: I Cracked that Nut
http://richardluschek.blogspot.com/2011/12/i-cracked-that-nut.html
Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Monday, December 19, 2011. I Cracked that Nut. Just a brief update about my newest paintings. Aren't they just the cutest little things? I am enjoying the process of doing paintings that have a relationship with each other. Sort of force the issue when the same object appears in both. My attempt is to have them work together, but to also be their own individual composition. Nut, Washer, Nut, 2" x 3", Oil on linen. Richard J. Luschek II. It sold, genius.

Verisimilitude: Paid to Expose
http://richardluschek.blogspot.com/2008/11/paid-to-expose.html
Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Monday, November 3, 2008. I was in the mood for nothing this weekend. I skipped two parties and an art opening that I had work in. I am officially becoming an old pecker head. The good news is that my paintings in the Exposed Artworks show. Sold I rarely sell when I go to these things, so I think the lesson here is that my work sells better if I am not around. I am not sure why that is, as I am so charismatic. Nut and Bolt, each panel 2"x 2", oil on linen.

Verisimilitude: October 2014
http://richardluschek.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Monday, October 6, 2014. Fall Signature Show at the CAC. For those of you who are already confused, this is not a show featuring artist's signatures- though that may be interesting. The work will be signed, but I feel it is more about the visual image on the canvas than the awkward identification often found in the corner. So, what is Signature about this show? Of the Cincinnati Art Club. Off To The Races, 12x9,oil on linen, ©Richard Luschek 2012.

This is not the first time. I have done this this very subject. Or the second. Jeesh, maybe it should be the last? The romantic in me says "Yes. Yes they will! Seriously, are you crying right now? Obviously romantic' but...

Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Friday, September 3, 2010. Here are two paintings that I am calling The Modern Relationship. Or Nut and Bolt. Or Something Else Equally Clever. What should I call these? I really enjoy exploring the male and female symbolism that can be found in two pieces of hardware. Who doesn't really? Nut and Bolt (The Couple) Working title- each one 3 1/2" x 2 1/2", oil on linen. Didn't know I was so sneaky did you? I know it is a tired subject. September 3, 2010 at 4...

Verisimilitude: Premature Exclamation
http://richardluschek.blogspot.com/2012/07/premature-exclamation.html
Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Tuesday, July 17, 2012. I have to apologize for posting about a painting. As if it were done, before it was. I was checking out the painting on the computer and noticed a few issues I will talk about now. Painting with no no's. I knew I had an issue at the handle of the coffee cup. A bunch of lines all coming together at a point. I had tried to fix this by controlling the values- making them very similar so it was not an issue. Now I am satisfied with it.

Verisimilitude: Portrait of a Soul
http://richardluschek.blogspot.com/2015/06/portrait-of-soul.html
Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Thursday, June 11, 2015. Portrait of a Soul. I just finished a portrait for a special exhibition opening this weekend. The fancy unveiling is on Friday with the exhibition opening to the public on Saturday morning. Portrait of a Soul. When I was born, way back in 1969, the hospital photographer did not take my picture as was the normal procedure. I mean would want a photo of your deformed cleft lip child? Don't worry, I got over it, my Mom owned a camera.

Paintings and comments of Richard J. Luschek II. Friday, November 28, 2014. Black Friday At Luschek Studios. The scene is a mad house as shoppers wait outside my studio to get great deals on paintings. I did a screen grab from the local news reporting at the scene. I swear, this is totally real.
