I think, therefore I am...I think. :T: April 2010

Thursday, April 15, 2010. I recently downloaded an App on my iPhone called Project 365. The idea is to take a picture every day so you have the memory stored and kept for life. I like it. Here are a few I took so far. I'm hoping to keep this up as well so I can remember these moments and interesting sights, even when they have long faded from my active memory. Links to this post. Day 1 of the New Me. Productive day at work? Lunch with the co-workers? Leave work at 4? Cardio for the day? Go to bed by 10?

...And that makes 3!: Spring Break: Vegas
http://thechungys.blogspot.com/2010/04/spring-break-vegas.html
And that makes 3! Saturday, April 17, 2010. So spring break came and went. I have never felt this discouraged after spring break before. What a tease! In the past, we would go on spring break, then go back to work knowing we have only 1 more quarter left, and feel great that June is approaching. But every morning, my first thought is "I don't want to go to work.". Knowing Kelly is home is so so distracting. Anyhow, here's our break in a nutshell! Kelly was so good on both flights! Giving umma a sloppy ki...

so happy together...: February 2011

Over the river and through the woods. Rebecca and Great Grandma, Thanksgiving 2009. We're headed to Redding in T-8 hours, to go and visit Joey's 92-year-old grandmother. Tomorrow is also the birthday of my mom and Joey's mom. Short story- Joey grew up thinking his mom's birthday was 2/14, and I grew up thinking my mom's birthday was 3/10. The 2 moms got to talking several years ago.and discovered that (due to some mis-recordings and lunar calendar) they are actually. But what I am most thankful for this ...

Yoos and Eyes in Zambia. Our journey from California to Zambia. Saturday, February 16, 2013. Work Hard, Play Hard. I’ve always been a hard worker. Ever since I can remember, I strove to excel, to bring tasks to completion, to follow through with what I said I would do, to put 101% into everything I did. It’s something I valued inherently, but that desire was groomed and encouraged as I grew and learned and understood. Looking back at my life, I was always on the go. No time to dilly-dally. But slowly, I&...

Yoos and Eyes in Zambia. Our journey from California to Zambia. Saturday, January 10, 2015. Holiday Festivities and Family Fun. The months of November and December were positively packed with not just the holiday spirit, but also a flurry activity and visitors. November 20 -21, 2014, we hosted three AHI (Adventist Health International) board members from the U.S. for our yearly AHI board meetings – Dr. Dick Hart, Rod Neal, and Danjuma Daniel. Or that it was going to be taken from us. At one point, some c...

Yoos and Eyes in Zambia: May 2015
http://pjmissions.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Yoos and Eyes in Zambia. Our journey from California to Zambia. Sunday, May 10, 2015. Although our biological children are still in infancy and toddlerhood, we have recently experienced a form of Empty Nest Syndrome. April seems to have been the month when all of our “children” came into our lives simultaneously. And slowly, starting in mid-April up to this last week, they have each left the nest – one by one. Your three week rotation (March 29 – April 17, 2015) was incredibly short. You are a skilled su...

http://pjmissions.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Yoos and Eyes in Zambia. Our journey from California to Zambia. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Life always brings constant change - sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. It's always harder to say good-bye than hello. During our time here in Zambia, we've had to say farewell to some precious people. But there are a few hellos as well. This flux of hellos and good-byes always results in a friendship that lasts beyond our brief time together. 1 Good-bye, Meiring, Juanita, and Abigail! 2 Good-bye, Mom!
