Tuesday, March 03, 2015. They say. Not me. Snow Sand. Snow melts. Sand never ever goes away. Plus, it's hot at the beach. I'll take the snow any day. Friday, March 28, 2014. Yo Yo Mommy, April 2008. Oh my gosh look at Daphne's cheeks! She was so dang cute. On Monday, I went to a Sip-n-Sew (and Knit) at the Bean Bar. I started a project with linen yarn on tiny needles, and learned to do "double knitting." Eventually, this will become a lavender sachet pouch. Double knitting is pretty amazing. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Summer - The Good. So, in spite of the situation with the lice, summer hasn't been ALL bad. We harvested Murphy the cabbage, and donated him to the local food pantry. Sour cherries appeared at the farmers market, and so there was delicious sour cherry pie. Daphne and I took a road trip to Indiana, which was lots of fun. Wednesday, February 11, 2015. A Few Quick Hits. The girls were recognized by the Mayor and Town Council last night for helping decorate the town at Christmas. It was cool. The girls were really proud, and our awesome Mayor took a lot of time out to spend with them. Daphne has decided to make origami Yoda Valentines this year. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Well, it's a few days before Thanksgiving, and I am thankful to be alive. Sounds a little dramatic, huh? Thank God we don't have an Elf on the Shelf! Wednesday, May 27, 2015. I am not Martha, and I Dont Care. Today, I saw the word "tablescape" on an Instagram photo and it sent me right over the edge. Granted, the table in the photo looked lovely, but seriously. I can't take any more. All of this Pinteresting and Style Blogging has gone too far. Tablescape. You wanna see a tablescarpe? Monday, January 26, 2015. All of these snow days and delays and teacher work days and MLK holidays and things are making it really hard to get in a groove. Even though I got Christmas taken down and put away, there are still piles of homeless things everywhere. A giant purge is in order, but that will require a chunk of time alone in the house, which is very rare these days. Daphne is home now, drawing a treehouse while I blog. But she really wants to play with me. And how can I tell her no? I am SO in!
