Here we see the river of lava rocks, from where volcanoes previously erupted and hot magma swept through. John said there was a ton of terrain like this, and it really sucked to walk on. Aug 25 – John hiked 11 miles, nice terrain and blue skies. He was feeling refreshed from his stop and resupply in Kennedy Meadows North. Aug 26 – 19 miles today, no smoke or anything.
