Saturday, October 1, 2011. Namche to Phakding, and finally to Lukla. First, a correction. Tengboche is 3860 meters above sea level, not the number I wrote in my last email. And the exhilaration of the moment and seeing the valley below pass away as we flew back to Kathmandu over green hills and villages high up on the ridges en route.
