HALL MONITOR, PART I, By M. Scott Douglass. June 30, 2013. Sometimes being an publisher and editor is like being a hall monitor in a middle school. I’d say it was like herding cats, cliché aside, I’ve learned that you CAN. Herd a cat if you offer the right incentives. Our cat, for instance, is an indoor cat. She loves going outside, but knows she doesn’t get to go there unescorted and WE decide when it’s time to go back in. Simple rules. Oh my, did I just paint with a broad brush (yet another cliché)?
