May 1, 2009 at 11:32 am ( Uncategorized. The very best part was the monkeys that live there. They are wild monkeys that happen to live in the park, so they are very used to humans. They come right up to you and everything! The following day, I boarded a sleeper bus to Ponducherry. I thought this part of my trip would be solitary, but the very next day, my friend Laura arrived to explore this town with me. What a way to see India! Sorry, Mom- I knew you wouldn’t like this part! April 18, 2009 at 4:35 am ( Uncategorized. I stayed in Varkala for a few really relaxing days. It does suck you in! The following day, a guide rowed us on a canoe through the backwaters. This area of India is like Venice. Canals run through fishing villages. It was lovely. We stayed at Kollam last night, and today I traveled with 5 friends to Cochin. It is very pretty here!
