Journey to Lucy Mei

Feb 14, 2013. 1 year ago today. In the click of an email, our lives changed forever. What a blessing you are, sweet LuLu Mei. I will never forget the millisecond I saw her precious face - those soulful eyes, beautiful lips and daddy's hairline, to boot. I knew. My heart sank. I wept silently at my desk. It was such an overwhelming sense of peace and clarity. And we weren't even looking for it! Our family was "complete". But, you knew differently. Praise the Lord. My sweet girl, you are such a hoot! Journey to Lucy Mei: 1 week+ home!

http://journeytolucymei.blogspot.com/2012/11/1-week-home.html

Nov 19, 2012. Apologies for the long post. I have so much to say! So, how are things going? Honestly, pretty darned great! Lucy had a busy first week home and we are getting to know our girl a lot better, every day. The kids were all at school and Greg was back to work. Jet lag was killer. We knew it would be. But, wowza. The general rule of thumb: 1 day of "recovery" for every hour in flight. So, 14 days for us! When not cocooning, we've been busy! Our outings so far:. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Int...

Journey to Lucy Mei: rejoicing!

Dr Staat is the founding Director of the Clinic, and a fellow international adoptive Mama. However, she also warned that Lucy could. Once w...

Journey to Lydia Xiao Ru

Journey to Lydia Xiao Ru. Friday, June 3, 2011. We’re outa here. Around 4 pm – bittersweet again – we are so ready to walk on American soil, but at the same time, it’s hard to leave – our two precious gifts were born in this country, and God held them close for us (and He’s still holding them close) until we could arrive and claim them forever! God appointed us to walk on China soil X 2 now, and we are forever grateful and thankful! Thank you our Abba, Father for allowing us to bring Lydia Xiao Ru home!
