Canh Bap Cai Tom Thit (Vietnamese Cabbage Soup). 10 cups of chicken stock. 1/2 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1/2 lb lean ground pork. 6 gloves of garlic. 3 tbsp fish sauce. 1 tsp ground pepper. 1 medium sized green cabbage, cleaned, leaves separated, and cut into 2-inch strips. 4 scallions, sliced. 1 Bring the chicken stock to a boil in a large stockpot. 4 Add the cabbage strips and the remaining fish sauce and cook for five minute. This soup sounds incredible!

Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Tod ay was hu. Bby's cookie day at work so we wiped up a batch of good ol' chocolate chip cookies. Made with butter and a combination of flour and brown sugars, these cookies are chewy with pleasantly caramelized crunchy edges. I didn't have enough semi-sweet chocolate for the recipe so I added some white chocolate chips which brought a nice surprise to every bite. 1 cup (2 sticks) (226 grams) unsalted butter room temperature. 3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar.

I can't really give out the recipe because I cheated and used the pre-made Korean Pancake mix. Hey, it tastes just as good, so why not. It was mmmmm, so good. Monday, August 31, 2009. Spicy Hoisin Chicken Wings. Package of chicken wings. 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce. 5 T Soy Sauce. 2 T Garlic Powder. 1 T Sesame Oil. 1 T Rice Vinegar. 3/4 cup Korean Pepper Powder. Adjust according to spicy factor). Mix all ingredients together depending on your tasting and how spicy you like your wings. On average, I'd say 1/2 cup of Korean Pepper Powder is fine. Marinate overnight or at least 3 hours before baking. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Stack wings side-by-side on baking tray.

Thursday, October 15, 2009. Buffet Style Chinese Doughnuts. One of the simplest dessert recipes that the kids will enjoy. I love Chinese doughnuts when I go to the buffet. They taste best at a warm temperature and even better when just taken out of the fryer. I actually googled this recipe and got it off the recipezaar.com site. To my amazement it was just too easy I don't know why it took me so long to attempt it. 1 can Pillsbury Biscuit refrigerated mix. Deep fry each dough until crispy brown.
