Wings | Creative Contemplations

Exploring my creative side. A story for my Grandma Book →. 5 August, 2015. Harsh sands its resting place. Broken by relentless wind. Rendered lifeless by unsurpassed pain. Unknown by the observer. Who whispers their judgement. Understanding lost through veiled eyes. 8220;I see, I know. I too felt the pain. And know life torn from me. For you, it was for you. To breathe into your broken beauty. Health to the irreparable. And life contrary to reason”. And His breath of grace. A creative in the making.
Yesterday and Tomorrow | Creative Contemplations
https://judithmcghie.wordpress.com/2015/07/19/yesterday-and-tomorrow
Exploring my creative side. An unfinished tale →. 19 July, 2015. That moment when the gauge says empty and you stumble on fuel. That moment when the road disappears and you turn the corner to a new vista. That moment when the rain comes down drenching and you look up to see the sun shining through the clouds. That moment when you whisper “I don’t know how this is going to work” and you turn around to see the promise of God. And you know. And you are assured because He is sure. A creative in the making.

Exploring my creative side. Newer posts →. 29 June, 2015. 8220;Look, Juju,” my granddaughter whispered excitedly. I turned in the direction she was pointing and peered at the mishmash of shrubs. I saw nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes the obvious is, well, not obvious. The Arctic rabbit waited long enough for me to catch up to an eight year old’s sight. He blended in well but once I knew he was there, I couldn’t help but see him. 8220;Be still and know…”. 22 June, 2015. Imagine the fear that he is a...

A story for my Grandma Book | Creative Contemplations
https://judithmcghie.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/a-story-for-my-grandma-book
Exploring my creative side. Time to change →. A story for my Grandma Book. 12 August, 2015. Mr Morrison would like to speak to Judith. In one instant my stomach churned, my heart beat faster and, if a ten year old sweats – I felt the perspiration running down my face. OK, that may be an exaggeration but I definitely remember feeling the burn in my cheeks and neck. Only the kids who were very naughty were called to the Headmaster’s office. That confused me. Am I in trouble? Judith, is this your own work?

Why even bother? | because she loves words
https://becausesheloveswords.wordpress.com/why-even-bother
Because she loves words. It’s an important question to ask yourself, when writing a blog, I reckon. ‘Why even bother? 8217; to add your nonsense to the cacophony, when it’s going be just as biased as everyone else’s. We all know there’s way too much rubbish out there already. Is it just a matter of declaring “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” with a resigned sigh? I’m going to try to not be that. At least give it a try, right? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Margins: Limitation or Possibility? | life-times-two
https://lifextwo.wordpress.com/2013/11/12/margins-limitation-or-possibility
The life that is – the life that can be. November 12, 2013. Margins: Limitation or Possibility? I’ve discovered there are two ways to look at a margin. A margin can be a boundary. 8211; fringe, sideline, edge, or it can be a surplus. Room, scope, profit. One definition speaks of limitation, the other of possibility. After mulling over these definitions for a couple of days I saw something beautiful emerge. I saw how Jesus transitioned people from one margin to the other, from the fringe. Jesus looked int...
The Essence of Joy | life-times-two

The life that is – the life that can be. December 13, 2013. The Essence of Joy. The moment my first child, our son Ben, was born and placed in my arms I experienced something profoundly new in my soul. To say that I was happy, delighted, elated, thrilled, enraptured doesn’t adequately describe what I experienced in that moment. A door somewhere in my soul had opened and I had been ushered into something infinite and holy, something deeply satisfying and bursting with possibility and grandeur. The Bible c...

Creative Contemplations – linking words to paint pictures, inspire, encourage
July 8, 2016. It was then I saw it, opaque white on my black leather handbag. Drool. Thick, oozy and not just a drop. It ran a quarter of the length of the bag. I reacted with a face-scrunching and audible yeew . With a sick dog on my lap and unable to access the tissues inside the bag, I had a dilemma. I turned. Excuse me, do you have a tissue or something we can clean this up with? Gross, the voice in my head whispered as thank you left my lips. What if I didn’t have a ‘tissue’ to help him? Of moon on ...

A Thought Now and Then
A Thought Now and Then. About the Woman Behind the Blog. If You Write It, They Will Come. August 15, 2013. One question I am often asked is “Where do you get your book ideas from? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, think long and hard about making the change. So, as Toni Morrison says, if there is a book you really want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, the you must write it. Write from the Soul. July 31, 2013. 8220;So Close”. Do not look for me on the shelves of your local booksel...
