Musings on knitting and life. Tuesday, 24 July 2012. There's been some lovely designs shared in our Ravelry group design thread and I noticed that a regular in our group, Ceciknits, has a few patterns using TUT yarns. I just had to share them here as they are really stylish and great single skein projects (You can see a recent FO from Ceci in this month's FO parade. Too- she's quite the knitter). http://uncommon-thread.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Musings on knitting and life. Monday, 31 January 2011. Chocolate, figs and Veera. What else is there? I have two recipes I have been meaning to share with you for a while. Once the chocolate is hard, dust with the cocoa powder. Yummy! I have to give credit where it's due: this recipe is from my friend Rachida, an absolute genius in the kitchen. View my com...

Lottie Bird: March 2011
http://lottiebird.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
People watching and the appreciation of beauty. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Cheers to the good guys. My friend Richard Blais just won Top Chef. Well, we may not be BFFs,. Aaaand he man not know that he's my friend,. Buuuut he does live next door to my in-laws. And I did say, "Hi" to him once. And I was smiling in a friendly* kind of way. The thing about Richard is that he's a genuinely good guy. This is how I know:. He helped the other chefs. He didn't throw tantrums. He really could not. Links to this post.
