We left Quito for the Bosque Nublado Santa Lucia (www.santaluciaecuador.com), a cloudforest and community conservation project two hours north of the city. And of course I switched into “I want to move to Paris” mode. Beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, cheese, cured meats, breads…. June 20, 2013. June 20, 2013. All that glitters…. Heat wave continues. Really? If I had all the money of a kingdom I’d want to live in a charming little hamlet and raise sheep. Almost succeeded at that since I got lost and wandered til faint…then took a funny poky train back to the palace, did the obligatory trudge through grand rooms, gawped a bit a gold and silk and ceiling paintings.
