Julies Pen and Ink. Monday, November 30, 2009. This Thanksgiving was pretty quiet. It was just the four of us. We just did bacon wrapped turkey and this marvlous salad,. It was just a green salad but with cranberries and navel oranges ( cut up ) and chopped pecans yummy. Today though is our Anniversay , yes 35 years with the same amazing man. Just need to say , its been very good to have a garden again, to see the fruits of your labor. Or I should say Hollie's labor because she has done all the planting and watering. For the temp in July should be inching toward the 100 mark but so far it has been rainy and cool which Iam not complaining. But miserable for campers. Tomorrow is July 4th. I so feel a love for my country. I am grateful for all those who fought for an Independant Country and for Freedom. I do realize that Freedom is not Free and I am grateful for those soliders who daily put their lives on the line for us. My Hubby and Me.

I feel that there is no place for rest. things are breaking down , need to have new tires, people breaking in and raiding your freezer for food. Sometimes its hard to pick up your loins and go on.
