You can choose, I just choose NOT to choose. Photo c/o The Local Grocer. Our local n...

November 7, 2014. What is the most unfair advantage a person can have? Being born to the right parents. This single coincidence tends to make more of a difference to a persons’ life than any other factor, including whatever efforts the person himself makes to try to improve his lot. Who your parents happen to be has a tremendous impact on a huge range of things that shape just about everything in your life to a huge degree. It determines if you’re born in Sweden or in Somalia. They determine what quality...

Monday, January 21, 2013. Carrot Soup with an Indian twist. This was something that happens once in many blue moons in the deep south and I had to celebrate it! Ike any other time when I thought about celebration, food (soup to be precise) is what came to my mind. This also came to my mind. 8220;To feel safe and warm on a cold wet night, all you really need is soup.”. My better half lives for chicken, so a soup without chicken was impossible. Opened the fridge.NO CHICKEN! Now to the how you do it part.

Friday, April 5, 2013. Hear my train a'comin'. Normally I'd say I can't believe it's April already, but March actually felt like the entirety of the month of March! So I'm just slackin'. I'm also.working full-time again! I know, I know. I got my job back. I'm very thankful, because a source of steady income is quite nice. To recap on my March goals-. The Chairman's Waltz: Tenuousness...
http://thechairmanswaltz.blogspot.com/2013/08/tenuousness.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. I figured I'd share a bunch of things I've baked over the year. It's just a snippet, really, as I've made loads of things, as well as the same things multiple times but with slight variations, such as different flavored scones, or different foccacia, biscuits, rolls, etc. I just thought it'd be fun to do a little round-up. Bread pudding homemade applesauce. Oat soda bread with sesame seeds. Dark chocolate confit with plums. Wheat baguettes, from scratch. Leader of the pack.
