http://padreislandliving.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Dave and I just got back from the vacation of a life time. Jana and David Badger suggested we go to Costa Rica for some canopy tours and hikes in the tundra. Since Jana and David are never wrong, we took their advice and went to La Fortuna and Monte Verde. Our first morning began with a fishing trip on Lake Aernal at 5:30 am. The night after rafting we decided to take a trip around the other side of the volcano to view all the action. Since EVERYONE had made a big deal abou...

Thursday, December 31, 2009. Financial and Food Storage Security for Individuals and Families. Fantastic Idea Patti and Dave! The most important information I can give anyone is to store food and fuel for one year. This will assure you can still take care of yourself and family if you lose a job or are financially hurt in anyway. We have a piece of mind knowing that we can feed our family if anything happens whether it is financial (The recession we are all experiencing). Class in 2008 and train quarterl...

After some careful thought we decided to create a blog for 2010 that offers advice for all kinds of ways to get ahead financially and really make 2010 a great year. This blog will be devoted to sharing what we know in our circle of influence, family and friends to become better prepared financially. (Perhaps a lot of boring stuff for our younger generation.). Welcome ...

Alejandro Pepper Farm: February 2013

Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Bonsai Sweet Heat Peppers. The sweet heat peppers in 2nd year certainly are keeping up with their reputation of bearing fruit first! Even if they look like Bonsai pepper plants. Yep, after pruning just 8 weeks ago the peppers are popping out. Our plants at Alejandro are much smaller due to the pruning but these sweet heat peppers are healthy with strong trunks and mature enough to blossom and produce. Patti and Dave Alexander. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Bugs Eating My Pepper Leaves. Bugs have been enjoying the leaves on our pepper plants. As you can see the holes all over the leaves. After doing some research we tried spraying soap water on leaves and found some moderate possitive results. I have also heard from a neighbor that using small amount of garlic juice mixed with water and sprayed on leaves is a good deterant as well. Patti and Dave Alexander. Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
