Unfortunately while I was basking in this fun thunderstorm, I couldn't believe my eyes when suddenly I saw a fire had started on one of the mountains on other side of the valley. I have been keeping my eye on it, and I believe the fire is disipating. But Still! Can you believe it? We finally gave in and decided that we needed to have our floors professionally installed. After all, I am sure they are done acclimating to our house since they have been sitting in our living room since November. We FINALLY ordered our cabinets last week. We decided to do white cabinets along the walls with black granite, and dark ebony cabinets for our island with either some type of white granite, or super white quartzite (shown in the images below). Basement Living Room BEFORE:. Basement Before had beautiful Ronald McDonald doors. Basement Living room AFTER: We ordered a new T.V. and a new couch which should be arriving this week. Jonathan got me an Italian themed gift equipped with home made Italian pasta, pasta sauce, Italian chocolate, and Italian coffee. I thought for sure the next thing he was going to give me was a plane ticket to Italy - not quite because that definitely would not be equivalent to "low key". It was a seriously thoughtful gift which is another reason why I love him so much! The only cost associated with this rug was the cost of time.
