Based off the stand-alone website of the same name, Warcraft Update (Facebook) provides users with instant notifications when their selected World of Warcraft servers come online, go offline or when a world event is happening. When a server changes it’s online status the user recives a notification to their Facebook profile:. Lightninghoof is back online. (offline for 5 hours, 44 minutes).

It Only Does was originally hosted on two domain names (itonlydoes.com and itonlydo.es) but I have since let these domains expire. You you are one of the lucky people to have purchased these domains from the wild and you want the source code for this project, send me an email from the contact form. All in all, it turned out pretty well. I was never really in it for the web traffic, but for a fly-by-night site it did alright. If you would like to try this site out I have moved the script right here.

December 14th, 2007. Web Video, Flash. After Effects, ActionScript 2. I was told to buy a small Lego model and recreate it in Aftereffects. I started off by downloading the digital version of the Lego instructions, I cut each piece out in Photoshop then animated in Aftereffects. After the video was complete I made a custom player in Flash and synced it up with some audio.

After doing some research, I decided to start on a smaller scale and track something outside of the game. Server status. Warcraft Update uses over 241 Twitter accounts (one for each Warcraft server) to send out alerts. Warcraft Update gets festive. December 1st, 2009 by Justin. Although the results are not yet visible, I have added some seasonal touches to Warcraft Update. Every in-game event has its own icon set that is used on wowarmory. Warcraft Update will pull those images and display them along the header of the main site and the Facebook app. Look for the first festive header when Winter Veil begins.
