LCMS Churches throughout the State of Minnesota sent 34 teams to Concordia University, St. Paul, to show off their knowledge of this year's topic, the Gospel of John, and compete for the top six individual and team trophies. The wanderings of artist shawna gilmore. June 13, 2015. Raising children has brought me a whole new affection for children’s literature, fantasy and fairytales. Oh how I love a good story! We acquired mountains of children’s books from a generous neighbor when the kids were wee mites. Several within this collection were beautiful old stories with lovely illustrations that just keep haunting me. One of these books is called Animals at My Doorstep. For the love of Amazon! The festivities began yesterday with Little Guy’s “friend party” at the Great Lakes Aquarium. And now that the first one is over, I have to say that it was amazingly stress-free.
