Shortly after my birthday, though, I realized what I want: a bee on my left arm, specifically using the bee design that is the logo for the city of Manchester, England. Saturday, 30 May 2009. FG got a recipe for a new cake: Pink Grapefruit. She baked it and chatted with her sister on the phone while I worked on my bibliography and surfed the web. When she took it out of the oven to cool, we started kissing, lying on the sunny floor near the window. Eventually we made it into the bedroom for a proper tumble in the hay. Then we ate the cake, which was delicious, a mixture of sweet, sour, and a little bit of bitter, just like grapefruit. FG: It's pink grapefruit cake!
