wool quest - Where the Crafters Meet
http://vic-crafts.livejournal.com/9811.html
Wool quest - Where the Crafters Meet. Jul 3rd, 2005 @ 12:41 pm. Where do most of you get your wool? I usually get it from my knitting/spinning-guru granny, but I feel bad raiding her collection so frequently lately, and I'm going to need a fair bit for my next project. I went into the beehive the other day, and while I just about died of drooling, it seemed rather expensive for even something as basic as black cotton! What about thrift shops? Volcano ('97 Demo) (B-Sides) by Damien Rice. I spin my own!

We stitch with love. May 20th, 2006 06:36 pm. Tv-Little People, Big World. I am working on currently making mittens and scarves for my friends for Christmas! I am so glad that I thought of something that I can make for them, because they're special to me, and I know that they like my work. They already know what they're getting, because I asked them if they'd wear the mittens.and guess what! I've got a lot of cute yarn for them to wear!

Scarves and Mittens - we stitch with love. May 18th, 2006 05:38 pm. I'll take that as a yes! I have decided that I am going to make matching scarves and mittens for the "holidays" this Christmas! Some for myself of course! I have muli-colored yarns and regular! I think it would be fun, but does anyone have any favorite mitten patterns?

We stitch with love. May 30th, 2006 11:14 am. Bzzzz-ing of my computer. I haven't welcomed anyone new yet, because my computer has been fried, but now I'm back! As you all know we have a breast cancer ribbon as a userpic. I haven't found a decent 'yarn' or 'crocheting' userpic yet, but I thought that since we were a female based community, that the ribbon pic would be an okay choice until another is discovered. And not just crocheting either.they could quilt, knit, embroider, and. In the U.S., bu...

Granny hat to share - The Granny Square Project
http://grannysquares.livejournal.com/9362.html
The Granny Square Project. Granny hat to share. I got the pattern online- a freebie. My daughter chose it because she was wanting an "artist" hat. I wasn't thrilled with the results, so I freehanded a second hat- not grannied. She loves them both tho, so I thought I'd share. The granny hat is a neat idea, but I think it would be better with a thinner, smoother yarn maybe- Caron Simply Soft is what I'm thinking there. I also kept seeing it as a fruit basket for some reason. ;). I Am The Pirate King!
