Sanchez Family Blog: February 2008
http://rlsanchez.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 22, 2008. Mom, who's gonna get the special plate? My kids eagerly ask me when they see it on the dinner table. Well, you decide." I usually say. And that begins an earnest conversation between the three of them as they try to remember who had it last time and who should get it this time. It's been a sweet time for us as a family to regularly verbalize our appreciation for one another- for little things that often go unnoticed or "unthanked". Friday, February 15, 2008. All throughout the ...

Sanchez Family Blog: March 2008
http://rlsanchez.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. For the sake of the gospel. I wrote the following article for our upcoming women's newsletter at church. Thought I'd share it with you. One chilly, snowy day this past winter I called my mother-in-law in. As we chatted I asked her how everything was going. “Oh my goodness,” she said, “it’s so cold here! 8220;What’s the temperature down there? 8221; I asked as I stared out the window at three feet of snow. “I think it’s in the 50’s,” she replied. The dictionary defines modesty as b...

Sanchez Family Blog: Kindergarten!
http://rlsanchez.blogspot.com/2012/09/kindergarten.html
Wednesday, September 12, 2012. I've been dreading this day for many months. I have been overwhelmed with fear, anxiety and deep feelings of inadequacy.Emily and Ashley's first day of kindergarten. It seems silly when I think about it. I've homeschooled 3 kids from the very beginning-taught them to read, diagram sentences, write essays, do algebra. But they aren't deaf. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Kite flying on the Oregon coast. Who knew kite flying could be so much fun? We didn't. We got this kite from Danny and Mindy for Christmas and tried it out while we were living in Calif. but never got the hang of it.til this week! It's a stunt kite, the kind with two handles. It takes a lot of effort to keep it up, but once we figured that out, we have had a lot of fun dive bombing each other. : ). Just hold the handle. Monday, September 22, 2008. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Rollin', Rollin', Roland. Monday, June 23, 2008. The battle for truth.inside my own head. Today, I sent in the first part of our application packet for the adoption (with a check for $1600). Once they receive our packet they will assign us a case worker. It's exciting to get the ball rolling. But I have to admit I have been battling anxiousness and fear too. This is the "conversation" that goes on in my head throughout the day. What are you thinking, LaNae? Saturday, June 21, 2008.

Thursday, August 28, 2008. It's that time of year again. It seems to always be the week before school starts. Peach season! Mindy, mom, and I get together each year to can. (Kailyn and Annsley have now joined us. They faithfully peeled peaches for two days.)Though it's a lot of work, I look forward to it every year. I froze about 30 quarts and canned about 30 jars for myself. Altogether we did about 100 quarts a couple of batches of peach jam. Mmmmm. Tuesday, August 19, 2008. My goal is to have the paperw...

Sanchez Family Blog: November 2008
http://rlsanchez.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2008. A life of crime? I am considering a life of crime.only as a last resort, though. No need to worry. I won't get caught. You see I've had my fingerprints taken three times and each time they have been rejected. I went in this morning for one last attempt, but the guy said he wasn't too hopeful. The guy said nine of my fingerprints are okay, it's just my pinkie! I've wanted to scream, cry, cut my finger off.you name it. Yet, I know that God is even sovereign over pinkies. But h...
