Kaimai Ramblers' Blog. For the latest bulletins and messages. 13 March 2013 Henderson Loop plus Hurunui Hut. Nine trampers set off form West Henderson carpark by the bridge. Today we had 2 guests. Jimmy (the Aussie) who is hiking and climbing his way around NZ, and Jane, a friend of Jill’s. The river was very low, so we kept our feet dry all day. Memorable events for the day Lisa slipped on a rock into the stream and got a wet backside. This was very good of her to do that as it saved the rest of us slipping on the rock. Eventually Cheryl crafted her own walking stick from the bush by this stage we had finished traversing the boggy areas but it still came in handy for her descent.
