Kaipatiki Project | Phillip Wong

Settling into a new era. A previous opportunity to work with Kaipatiki Project focussed on redesigning their jungle of information to be a more functional and usable site. For the next phase our aim was twofold. We looked to reinforce the brand by progressing the existing visual design. Further revisions to the CMS added more front and back end flexibility for future additions to the diverse range of services they offer. Design, Build, Maintain. Different from the rest. Standing out from the crowd.

Moll's Eye View: Tamahunga Monitoring Tunnel line.
http://creativemomentsimagesblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/tamauhunga-monitoring-tunnel-line.html
Monday, July 6, 2015. Tamahunga Monitoring Tunnel line. Mt Tamahunga has some very steep terrain with ridges and valleys and streams. A 500 metre route was taken and laid out with tapes and tracking tunnels to monitor rats in this beautiful forest that could one day be teaming with native birds including kiwi and kokako. It took us seven hours to complete the line and walk out with the reward of a pizza and glass of wine which was well earned I think. Eliane checks notes and GPS.

Nonnie's Blog: Wonderful technique for creating woodcut cross-hatching effect in Illustrator
http://nonavee.blogspot.com/2015/01/wonderful-technique-for-creating.html
Craft and sustainable living blog. Small steps - but stick to them. Sunday, January 4, 2015. Wonderful technique for creating woodcut cross-hatching effect in Illustrator. When I googled techniques others had used, where they were selling a variety of plugins - I found one very useful part of their technique, and used my eye to do the rest. So now I can post my technique - to add to the shared knowledge online. Then, as you want to be able to erase at the base (where parts of stroke overlap your line), y...

Craft and sustainable living blog. Small steps - but stick to them. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Knitted flower - gift of love for Troy. After knitting a few flower things for nieces, I didn't want to leave Troy out, prioritizing others first, again, so I knitted her a special flower just for her after. She lucked out as I had had sufficient practice to knit it far better than the others - I also did my best for her out of my love for her. Knit 2 stitches as 1, easy, done. Sewing flower is really fun, as it...

Saturday, April 18, 2015. Auckland is a fascinating area for its volcanic history and features surrounding the city and today was a chance to visit the Grotto at Onehunga. Its thought that this feature was caused by a volcanic collapse over flowing larva. Geoff Ewen and Claire enjoying the shower! Forest and Bird- North Shore. Craft and sustainable living blog. Small steps - but stick to them. Sunday, December 29, 2013. JR's stripey toque (using Fair Isle to make the stripes). JR requested a red and blue toque (beanie), stripes which were balanced like ying and yang. I wanted to knit so that the blue and red came into a ying yang swirl at the top - but this is difficult with knitting. My sister W. I still wanted to try to swirl the stripes into ying-yangs at the end, but it just wasn't the easy way the medium wanted to go....

Moll's Eye View: Auckland NZ Dotterel Forum
http://creativemomentsimagesblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/auckland-nz-dotterel-forum.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. Auckland NZ Dotterel Forum. I was pleased to be asked by Gwen Pulham to attend the Auckland NZ dotterel forum at Ambury Reserve on Monday 18th this week. Gwen had asked me to show the photos of the dotterel shelters and tell the story of how I came upon them to the audience of dotterel management groups including Tawharanui and Shakespear park. Well I'm off to Rotorua at the weekend to stay in a bach on the lake. Had better get my packing started. Forest and Bird- North Shore.
