Room 3 Slideshow of 2009. In week 6 term 1 our school, Kaitao. Went to the Aquatic Centre for a fun swimming activities day. We did all sorts of stuff like doggy paddle, breaststroke, backstroke and much much more. We were in our house teams (Solomon, Reid, Bosson. This term Accelerate Academy went on a trip to the Rotorua. Museum. Trying to gather lots of information about our ancestors and the history of Rotorua. Room 5 is currently learning about Pacifica. I am going to talk to you about some of the things we have learnt so far. Well. we have learnt about the ocean groups such as Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia. Polynesia contains islands such as Tonga, Samoa, The Cook Islands and French Polynesia. Wallis, Tutara. Waimarino was mean, we went. With Room 14.I tipped out Whaea. Te Arohanui from her kayak. It was hard though }! This year our Whanau is participating in kapahaka. Most Kapahaka group starts with a Coral, an Entry followed by a Moteatea, an Action Song,Poi,Haka then an Exit. Kapahaka groups wear beautiful costumes with Maori designs and patterns. Primary. The Science fair is coming up and I've got my group ready and were making an extreme rugby tee.My team mates are Me,SAM and Jake. you can even adjust it and its got rugby ball holders. Rotorua Marathon 2009 we were giving drinks to the runners at 5k and 10k I was going to help out by giving out drinks. I didn't do it though because I was in Tauranga staying at my dads house.
