Monday, 14 November 2011. All quiet on the South Australian front. Well, not really. Just over a month ‘till Christmas, and the pots aren’t making themselves. The beast is not quite roaring away outside (it will be very soon as it reachs reduction and all that that involves) and various things are drying on shelves as I attempt to make enough to fill it with another load of bisque. The beast in action. Onions in the front, kiln in the back. The last load of pots came out okay (this was my Woo Hoo moment!

Monday, 14 November 2011. The biggest challenge I'm faced with this time of year if finding the time to work. I'm a full time sailing instructor all through summer and after 6 days a week on the water (which i'm def not complaining about! Also posted are a couple of shots of my work i need to get in the kiln some time soon. Saturday, 12 November 2011. My cups went in the kiln! I rubbed underglaze in the lines and wiped back. I did plan to add a bit of colour too, but I thought they looked really good just with the simple lines. I like the "badly wiped down printing plate" look. So clear glazed! Life on the edge for a potter! As you can see, I’m using favourite tool: the plastic card in all its varieties (I like the ones that get you money out of the wall too, but I’m not even talking about those, or not in that application anyway). Sunday, 27 November 2011. At last - Keiko Matsui. I said to myself - 'Let's stop winging and do some work! Thank you for encouraging comments from other bloggers. At last, I managed to put all my work together in the bloody last minute. I realized that it is important to breath slowly, pause, and clear your head-space when things goes wrong. Being a potter is life time commitment so that I have to train myself physically and mentally well. The narrative knot and PROmotion exhibition sounds so versatile!
