Sunday, 4 May 2008. Cucumber and Moong daal salad. 25 grams of Moong daal. 2 tsp Coriander leaves. Coconut (fresh or Grated) 2 tsp. 4-5 fresh curry leaves. Soak the Moong daal in water over night.( 4 to 5 Hours). Chop the Cucumber into small pieces and put into a bowl. Strain the Moong daal and mix it with cucumber. Serving hints: a good side dish with papadams and on its own. Cucumber and splitgram( channa daal). With the same ingredients replace moong daal with channa daal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

To use lettuce in one more useful way. 25 g Desiccated Coconut. 150 ml Hot water. 75 g Lettuce( washed and broken into small pieces). 1-2 green chillies(OR to taste). 1/2 tsb tamarind concentrate OR lemon juice. Tuesday, 13 May 2008. 1 medium size Onion, 1 tbsp Ghee. 1/2 tea cup garden peas, 2tsp chopped ginger, 1 tsp curshed garlic. 1 tsp salt( OR to Taste), 1 tsp Black cumin seeds(KALA JEERA). 4 -5 Cloves, 2-3 Cardamoms,1-2 Cinnamon sticks. 4-5 pepper Corns, 700 ml water. 1 Wash and soak the rice for an hour. 2 Cut the Onion into thin slices. 3 Heat the Ghee in a saucepan, add the Onion and fry in medium heat, stirring ocasionally until golden brown.
