A quirky side effect of globalization. Hello all and greetings from Limerick! I’ve slowed down a bit (and also caught a cold! So now I have some time to catch up on some much needed blogging. So as I said, I am in Limerick, about 25 minutes drive from Shannon Airport. I’ll be working in our Ireland office for about a week or so before heading back to the US. I’ve also picked a great weekend to be in Limerick as the Royal de Luxe street theatre company. However, after a certain amount of time, they couldn...

Day in the Golden Country | The Halo-Halo American
https://kaystles.wordpress.com/2012/05/10/day-in-the-golden-country
A quirky side effect of globalization. Day in the Golden Country. After the temple we were on the hunt for a nice AIR CON restaurant and walked a good half hour before we found a semi-shady restaurant in the basement of a ramshackle mall. Food was okay but we just appreciated the aircon. We finished with lunch and then took a taxi to the Central Railway Station. I Saw Aung San Suu Kyi. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A quirky side effect of globalization. Tags: Cliffs of Moher. As we had time to kill before the wedding, the LKY alums skillfully communicated through our wi-fi (thus saving our data plans and roaming charges! And met up for a walk along the Cliffs of Moher. The barrier behind me reaches to about my shoulder (I’m 5 feet tall). The other more exciting route is the one that lets you walk up right next to the edge of the cliffs:. My foot as proof that I was that close to the edge! Jumpshot at the edge.

I Saw Aung San Suu Kyi | The Halo-Halo American
https://kaystles.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/i-saw-aung-san-suu-kyi
A quirky side effect of globalization. I Saw Aung San Suu Kyi. She’s alive and well. and as graceful and endearing in real person as she is on print. Never mind the rest of what happened today (ok I’ll update on that too…) but fate was on our side as Linda and I were able to attend a NLD rally for Aung San Suu Kyi. Fresh from a good hour of rubbing sweating elbows with the Burmese, I’ll attempt to describe this epic day. Day in the Golden Country. I Moved to San Francisco. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A quirky side effect of globalization. Step 1: Apply for a Visa. So its almost time for my next “adventure” which is planned as a bit of graduation present to myself. After the end of classes and before I head back home to the US, Linda and I will be going to Indonesia (Jogja) and Myanmar/Burma! In order to go to Myanmar we have to apply for a visa (they did away with their visa on arrival program last year). Once your number is called, bring all your documents to be approved. You will need to bring:.

https://kaystles.wordpress.com/2013/02/25/i-moved-to-san-francisco
A quirky side effect of globalization. I Moved to San Francisco. I totally lucked out on my apartment. I’m currently living in Central Richmond (literally where inner and outer Richmond meet). The neighbor is adorable with a bunch of mom and pop restaurants. bakeries, and produce all while being close to public transport. I’m slowly figuring out just how expensive SF is, even moreso than Singapore (! That’s it for now, more later! I Saw Aung San Suu Kyi. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
