I've got a test cake waiting to be frosted on the kitchen counter (I'm testing my frosting capabilities - Betty Crocker's cake has already been tested! And a list of ideas that grows daily. We're only two short months away from the big oh-one! And no, I can't believe it. He's also in the midst of his first cold. Not necessarily a milestone I was looking forward to, but it had to happen sooner or later. I LOVE the camera!

In the past year we have marveled at every little smile. Every accomplishment, big or small. And have grown and learned right alongside our little guy. And enjoy more than we thought possible. He is confident and chatty,. Independent and willful,. Snuggly and affectionate, and. We have had such an amazing first year together!

Saturday, March 6, 2010. Wow Four months old already. We can't believe it. We had his four month check-up on Monday and here are the stats:. 15 pounds (up 6 pounds from his birth weight). 2625 inches (he's grown almost 6 inches! He's in the 54th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height. looks like he's gearing up to be tall and somewhat skinny. he has a little double chin, but no rolls of baby fat. He sucked most of it down, even though it doesn't look like it in the pictures. Friday, July 10, 2009. During the summer, the library offers a "meet-n-greet" series where kids can go and see ambulances, firetrucks, police officers, etc. Today was the helicopter! We picked up our neighbor Melissa around 9:20 and went to the field at the high school where the helicopter was scheduled to land at 9:30. Two hours later, we got to see the helicopter land. Thursday, June 11, 2009. Loads of fun have been had at the new water table in the backyard. The main goal is to empty the water table of water. Ava has discovered her baby doll and makes sure baby makes it downstairs each morning. Playing with dried beans - we're practicing scooping from one bowl to the other, but Ava prefers to move the beans by taking heaping handfuls. What happens when you turn your back for a moment!
